Tierra Maestra believes that nature is the wisest school. It is the school that knows how to keep balance and cares for all life. Natalia Herrera, an Empieza por Educar alumni, co-founded Tierra Maestra to reconnect teachers with nature and understand the root of the problems we are facing as a species. Tierra Maestra training is structured around three methodologies: permaculture, holistic education, and experiential learning. During immersion exercises, they invite teachers to learn from the indigenous communities that live in and take care of nature. Watch this video to learn more about their work.
